A Walk Through History: Overdose, Recovery, & the Past

  • Custom House 908 Main Street Waldoboro, ME, 04572 United States (map)

In partnership with Studio B, Maine Team Sharing, and International Overdose Awareness Day

All are welcome.

Join us on a reflective community journey beginning at the historic home of John H. Kennedy, a 19th-century shipbuilding financier who died of an overdose on the eve of the Civil War. Participants will continue to the Custom House for a remembrance installation honoring lives lost to substance use, followed by a sharing circle for surviving loved ones. The event invites reflection on the historical context for understanding overdose and the ways history can guide present-day healing.
